Melissa And Peter Hastings Become Prime 'Pretty Little Liars' Season 6B Big Bad Suspects

With "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B still a few months away, recent rumors and spoilers have brought the Hastings back in the spotlight.

Recently, "Pretty Little Liars" showrunner Marlene King disclosed some spoilers about the new Big Bad of 6B. According to MTV, the catalyst for the new threat is none other than a new dead body.

"This Big Bad has an agenda and it's to find out why this person passes away-and to seek revenge on the person responsible," said King.

Given that both Mrs. DiLaurentis' murderer and the new rumor that Charlotte will be killed off in "Pretty Little Liars" Season 6B, many observers believe that the Hastings have the most motive for such a move.

"If Charles is 15 months older and Peter and Jessica had an affair while they were in college, wouldn't it mean that Peter knew about Jessica having a one year old baby," commented self.PrettyLittleLiars on reddit.

"I also think Peter will be the Big Bad. He knows everything about Charlotte and feels bad for what she's been through. I think he killed Mrs. D for everything that she had done to him and to Charlotte and now after Charlotte is murdered he will think that the Liars did it."

However, others argue that Peter would be far too paternal to cause any intentional harm against Melissa and Spencer, and in fact, Melissa might be the more likely suspect.

"Aren't these Melissa's hands as 'Big Bad' in the 6B trailer?" asked Forsakred.

The identity of the new Big Band has been a keen focus for executive Marlene King during recent interviews.

"The new big bad, I won't say if it's a he or a she," said King according to Hollywood Life.

"We think it's a he right now, but you never know. But the new big bad is more lethal. The new big bad isn't playing a game. The new big bad has an agenda and will not stop at anything before that agenda is taken care of. I think everyone's a threat. Everyone's a suspect in the show, always."
