The Sacramento Kings have been struggling as a franchise for quite some time now as they face on and off-court issues left and right.
As of this writing, the Kings are at the bottom of the Western Conference with a 1-7 standing. But majority of the losses were due to their franchise star DeMarcus Cousins being out because of injury.
Speaking of DeMarcus Cousins, the star admitted that aside from their standing, there are plenty of things to fix inside the locker room. According to James Ham of CSNBayArea.com who was able to speak with Cousins, the star said that "some internal issues going on with the Kings right now that have to be handled."
Also, Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee reported that Cousins wants a "a players-only meeting is in order."
Cousins although clarified that there is no rift or whatsoever building up, it will be just like a team building so that each teammate will understand the other better.
"Just to make it clear, I believe in every single person in this room. We've just got to stay together," Cousins said.
The Kings have plenty of new faces in their roster heading into this season like Marco Bellinelli and Kosta Koufos to name a few, but perhaps the biggest and most controversial acquisition for them is point guard Rajon Rondo, who was let go by the Dallas Mavericks after performing poorly in the 2014-2015 postseason.
Some might think that he is someone who is a good team player, but Rondo said that everything is behind him now and he only looks forward to bringing back the All-Star player he was in Boston.
"I don't look at the past at all," Rondo told Yahoo Sports. "What's for me is what's for me. Everybody always talks about money, money, money. But for me it's all about happiness."
