Will Clara Become Half Time Lord, Half Dalek In 'Doctor Who' Season 9 Finale?

New spoilers regarding the final batch of episodes for "Doctor Who" Season 9 has ignited intense speculation over how Clara will leave the series as one of the longest serving companions in the history of the franchise.

Recently, the latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine has revealed hints and spoilers regarding the final four episodes of Season 9. This includes several small details regarding Clara which may hint at bigger reveals.

"The finale is the fallout of Clara sort of becoming the Doctor," says the update. "You have no clue what the series arc is, or how Clara leaves."

The magazine also has an overview of the two-part Season 9 finale, titled "Heaven Sent" and "Hell Bent."

"Long before the Time War, the Time Lords knew it was coming," says the overview.

"Like a storm on the wind. There were many prophecies and stories. Legends before the fact. One of them was about a creature called the Hybrid: half Dalek, half Time Lord. The ultimate warrior. But whose side would it be on? Would it bring peace, or destruction? Was it real, or a fantasy?"

Given the focus on the Daleks during the premiere as well as Clara's interactions inside a Dalek, some Whovians believe Clara is in fact the legendary Hybrid.

"She was connected to the Dalek when the Doctor sent his regeneration energy through all the Daleks in Skaro," commented Basil.

Another prominent theory is that Clara will die in episode 10, giving way to the solo "monologue" episode stipulated for episode 11.

"I am now sure that we have a three-part finale here," commented The Impossible Sam on Doctor Who TV.

"The fact that Peter [Capaldi] is alone and that his search may lead him to Gallifrey means that the Doctor Who will not die in 'Face the Raven,' which means it would most probably be Clara. But here is where it gets interesting. The motivation for finding Gallifrey will most probably be Clara. He'll try to change time. I am sure of it."
