For fans craving for some "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" spoilers, read on! Although the film is not coming out until May 5, 2017, James Gunn sure knows how to keep fans hungry for more details as he answered a lot of interesting questions in a Twitter Q&A.
First up, fans should know that "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will not hint on anything leading to "Infinity Wars" according to the director.
"Everything's going to be different in the 'Infinity Wars.' I'm a lot more concerned with 'Vol. 2' than I am with 'Infinity Wars.' The way the movie ['Vol. 2'] is structured and made - it really is a story unto itself. It's not about leading up to anything else. It's about the Guardians and their lives", Gunn said via The Hollywood Reporter.
He also revealed that a new major character will be introduced as the only clue he gave out is this character won't be from the human race. Also, he doesn't know if Star-Lord and his team will join the upcoming Infinity Wars.
On to the Twitter Q&A, Gunn revealed that the script is officially done and was written solely by him.
He also said that the new soundtrack, which by the way was one of the most memorable in the first movie, is good to go thanks to music supervisor Dave Jordan.
Also, he addressed the "Guardians of the Galaxy" animated series and he confirmed that it will have no connection to any of the MCU films.
