Fun and time with the family are synonymous with each other come the Thanksgiving holiday. With malls packed with shoppers, those who prefer a laidback timeout can enjoy the occasion with the family with movies on Netflix.
According to Netflix Life, among the movies that can be enjoyed by the family come the big Turkey Day was "Free Birds." The animated flick is about the story of one turkey who travelled through time to change history and make sure that he won't become the staple food during Thanksgiving.
Another great movie is "Dutch," which tells the story of a man who goes on a road trip in a bid to bring a young boy to his mom for the holiday.
In a report on What's On Netflix, meanwhile, Thanksgiving movies they suggest this year include the 1997 "The House of Yes" that is about a man who brought his bride-to-be home for the occasion to meet his family for the first time. There was also the 1987 "Plains, Trains and Automobiles" that presents the grueling travel one takes just to be with family come Turkey Day. Another one is the 1993 movie "Adams Family Values" that showcase the meaning of family and coming together in a quirky way.
But if you are not up for some holiday cheer themed movie, there are TV series and movies on Netflix worth checking this Thanksgiving month as told by Wired. Among them is "Jessica Jones" season 1, a Marvel original series that is coming out on Nov. 20. On Nov. 23, meanwhile, fans of "Switched at Birth" can relive season 4. On the same day, the streaming channel will also be showcasing the 2015 documentary, "Best of Enemies."
On the list from Inquisitr, meanwhile, political thriller "Zipper" will be available come Nov. 26. Australian documentary "Electric Boogaloo: The Wild, Untold Stories of Cannon Films" will also be coming out on Nov. 29.
