Albus Dumbledore may have been dead in the last two "Harry Potter" films. But new spoilers on the "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" movie has apparently leaked that the fandom may be getting a glimpse of the beloved wizard on the big screen soon.
In a report on Tech Insider, it was mentioned that producer Davin Heyman himself has apparently hinted about the "Harry Potter" wizard's cameo.
Citing the print edition of Entertainment Weekly, the report quoted a sentence from the article stating "a line of dialogue in 'Fantastic Beasts' references a wizard you may have heard of -- some guy named Dumbledore."
As reported by Entertainment Weekly when they published exclusive set photos of the "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them," the movie will be set in the year 1926. The fact has made fans speculate that Albus Dumbledore will probably be younger wizard that what has been seen in the "Harry Potter" movies. Based on his profile on Pottermore, the Hogwarts headmaster was born in 1881 making him 45-years-old by 1926.
While fans couldn't contain their excitement over the development on social media, Moviepilot has collated the roster of actors that fans thought should portray the beloved wizard. These were Adrien Brody, Benedict Cumberbatch, Christian Bale and Michael Fassbender.
Aside from the fans, "Harry Potter" himself was also excited for the "Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them" movie that's coming out November next year.
"I can barely keep myself in this chair," Daniel Radcliffe told E! Online in jest. "Yes, I am very excited but I've also been asked about it a lot, and I don't have any information to give unfortunately."
Eddie Redmayne, who portrays Newt Scamander in the movie, has been mum as well about the details of the spin-off.
"I'm allowed to say absolutely nothing!" he said in September.
