Calum Hood may be ready to step up as the frontman of 5SOS after all this time. With the 5SOS tour 2016 coming up and with the new album and girlfriend out of his way, Calum Hood may see this coming year as his year to shine.
According to Fuse, "If Luke and Calum are the ones who naturally shy away from the spotlight more, then it's Hood who gets overlooked even more often, since Hemmings is the de facto frontman of the group. One of the main takeaways from Sounds Good Feels Good, however, is that Calum's bass is more harnessed than ever, and that one of the shyest members of 5SOS is taking more control of the group's sound. On 5 Seconds of Summer's second album, Calum subtly becomes the group's secret weapon."
Looks like 5SOS bassist is more poised than ever to take on the role of a leader in the band.
But that doesn't mean that he is perfect. He recently admitted to the public that he tried weed before, upholding the bad boy reputation that he has gained over the years. But it looks like Calum's need to have a hand at the substance may have stemmed from the stress from 5SOS tour 2015, new album release as well as girlfriend problems.
According to Unrealty TV, "Calum Hood has revealed that he has smoked weed previously but insisted that he won't try the substance again, due to some dodgy side effects... Cal admitted that he tried it before but he isn't a regular user. "I get super paranoid when I do," he said."
Also the fact that Calum Hood has been expressing mixed feelings towards 5SOS tour 2016 means that has also been a source of stress for him. Since he has not been seen with his rumored girlfriend Jennifer Phipps after the new album release, Calum Hood may have other girlfriend issues to deal with before going on 5SOS tour 2016.
According to Unreality TV, from an interview with Teen Vogue. he said, "Ashton and Luke really like travelling. But Michael's always pretty happy at home. We're all away so much that sometimes just being in one place for a while is the best thing. I think we're going to get to go to Asia and South America on tour next summer though, which will be really cool."
Sounds like with that kind of attitude, 5SOS tour 2016 may be a bummer for Calum Hood. Maybe some weed may do him some actual good, if it didn't make him feel paranoid.
Do you think Calum will overcome the girlfriend and new album stress to emerge as the next bad boy of 5SOS?
