Synopsis/Recap:

This week's episode picks up with Lord Crowley, Chess, and Horn discussing the battle in Nagoya. Chess has caught a soldier of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army and drinks him dry. Crowley takes the sword of the soldier and tests it. He believes that the humans are getting stronger at an intense rate.

Crowley theorizes that this entire war is being fought because of one double agent. He's uncertain as to who that is.

Elsewhere, Shinoa and the other younger soldiers wait for the return of Guren. Mitsuba suspects they could be dead now. Just as they become deeply concerned, Guren and his squad arrive, looking extremely haggard. Most other companies have lost numerous men.

Guren reveals the hostage situation and the plan to rescue them and kill the remaining noble vampires. Guren and others head out while Aihara stays behind to wait to see if her squad will return. Unfortunately, vampires arrive and attack. They quickly overwhelm Aihara and her squad.

One of the vampires is Mikaela. He questions Aihara, preventing her from her poisoning maneuver. He asks about Yuichiro. Mikaela reveals his good intentions and Aihara tells him that Yuichiro is at city hall on the hostage rescue mission.

They create a diversion to get Mikaela's company to go to the Botanical Garden instead of city hall. Aihara is left alive while the rest of her squad is now dead. She provokes Mika into killing her. Mika is able to go to city hall on his own while the others go to the botanical garden.
