'The Huntsman: Winter's War' Won't Be Bringing Back Snow White,Four Posters Revealed

"The Huntsman: Winter's War" is coming soon.

The classic fairytale of Snow White has seen many different adaptations over the years. There have been television series, books and films that gave their own interpretation of the famous Brothers Grimm fairytale.

"Snow White And The Huntsman" is a dark adaptation of the Snow White fairytale that was released in 2012. It starred Charlize Theron as Queen Ravenna, Chris Hemsworth as the huntsman Eric and Kristen Steward as the beloved Snow White. The film's success at the box-office earned the production $396.6 million.

The commercial success of the film has lead to a follow up, now titled "The Huntsman: Winter's War" and won't be including Snow White in its story. According to Hollywood Reporter, the film will take place after "Snow White and the Huntsman" and focus on the back story of Eric and is past.

"When Freya, the sister of Queen Ravenna, finds out she can resurrect her fallen sister, the ice queen gathers her army of huntsmen to recapture the Magic Mirror," as reported by the article. "Eric who was originally trained by Freya in her huntsman army, must join forces with his fellow banished huntsman, the Warrior, to fight the growing threat to their land."

Theron and Hemsworth will be reprising their roles while Jessica Chastain ("The Martian" and "Interstellar") will join as The Warrior and Emily Blunt ("Into The Woods" and "Devil Wears Prada") as the Ice Queen.

Den Of Geek reported that Cedric Nicolas-Troyan will be returning as the director. He is familiar with the film as he participated in the "Snow White and The Huntsman" as the visual effects supervisor.

No doubt the upcoming film will be as great a visual feast as its predecessor, the participation of the producer of "Maleficent" make keep the expectations high.

There were four posters of Queen Ravenna, The Warrior, The Huntsman and The Ice Queen released. A full theatrical trailer will soon follow.
