The "Captain Mavel" casting possibilities just keeps on expanding as popular actresses and celebrities express their desire to play the role of Carol Danvers.
According to Cinema Blend, "Into the Woods" star Emily Blunt is being linked to the role but she said she is not decided for the role just yet. However, she mentioned other actresses like Charlize Theron and Rebecca Ferguson that may be suitable for the role and why they might be the right fit.
"I think it's because the list is very short, because we don't see women in these kind of roles. So I think as soon as you do a role like that, like Charlize did or I did, or Rebecca's done - there's like four of us or something. And Jen Lawrence. So I feel like us four, we get talked about - and Angie, Angelina," Blunt said.
"So it's a list of like, four women who are going to be considered for those kind of roles. So I think that's why the rumors happen, because they're like, 'who else? Surely not another girl can wield a gun,' you know what I mean? 'A woman doing push-ups? There's only one who can do that.'"
Just this past week, "American Sniper" star Sienna Miller also said that she is very eager to play the role despite not knowing much about the story in comics. Her motivation comes from her kid who is a fan of the series.
"I'm not a person who reads a lot of comics and I don't really know that world, particularly well...but I think it would be quite fun -- for my kid as well. She'd like it," Miller said via Food World News.
Among the long list of actress who wants to be part of the "Captain Marvel" cast, who will be given the opportunity? Stay tuned.
