‘Game of Thrones' Star Emilia Clarke Joining 'Justice League: Part One’? Details Released!

"Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke may be portraying another superhero aside from being Sarah O'Connor in "Terminator: Genisys." Rumors has it the Daenerys Targaryen actress would fit perfectly in "Justice League: Part 1" opposite Jason Momoa.

As reported by Heroic Hollywood, Mera - the Queen of Atlantis - may become one of the characters for the upcoming film. According to the report, "Mera is considered the Khaleesi of the sea and Aquaman's true love."

The people behind the "Justice League" flick has yet to address the rumors. But Jason Momoa, who has starred on "Game of Thrones" as the husband of Emilia Clarke's character has been cast as Aquaman for the upcoming "Batman Vs. Superman" movie. With this, some fans of the would-be "Justice League: Part 1" movie have shared that the Daenerys Targaryen actress would best fit the bill for the Mera character.

Comicbook.com even took the rumors up a notch and made a digital art about how the Daenerys Targaryen actress would look like if she does end up as Mera. In the image they posted on the report, the picture showed the actress sporting a fierce look and a ginger hair with a crown holding her hair back.

There were fans though that have expressed their doubts about Clarke taking up the "Justice League: Part 1" role if ever it was offered. Some fans cited that the actress already had her hands full doing the HBO TV series.

Despite the rumors about "Justice League: Part 1," Jason Momoa has expressed in the past about his and Emilia Clarke's interest to work together again after starring in "Game of Thrones" opposite each other.

"I was talking to Emilia, like we have to do something that's contemporary," the Aquaman actor told Zap2It last year. "That would be fun to do."

Clarke has also said in the past that she loved playing strong women onscreen -- a description that may also fit the Queen of Atlantis.

"It's great to be such a young girl and have the opportunity to play such strong, powerful women," she told USA Today.
