In 2017, "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" will hit movie theaters and it is expected to far exceed the first installment thanks to James Gunn and his creativity.
First, the director revealed that the structure of the movie will be much different compared to the "Avengers" franchise, specifically "Avengers: Infinity War."
"Everything's going to be different in the 'Infinity Wars.' I'm a lot more concerned with 'Vol. 2' than I am with 'Infinity Wars.' The way the movie ['Vol. 2'] is structured and made - it really is a story unto itself. It's not about leading up to anything else. It's about the Guardians and their lives", Gunn said via The Hollywood Reporter.
Moreover, the director revealed that the script is done and he is making some last second changes until proceeding with the production.
Meanwhile, in a report by Screen Rant, Karen Gillan revealed that the story will delve deeper on the relationship between Gamora and her sister, Nebula. It is worth noting that in the first film, the sisters were enemies. Will Nebula finally have a change of heart and team-up with the Guardians?
"I think what I'm really excited about it delving into the sisterly relationship between Gamora and Nebula. I think that we're going to see a little bit more of that, and it's going to be a bit more fleshed out."
