Ronda Rousey must have had a severe blow to her ego after losing to Holly Holm. So it may be safe to assume that she is doubting any kind of rematch, as well as support from her boyfriend Travis Browne. Maybe this is time to spend by herself.
According to Los Angeles Times, "In one of the most shocking results in MMA history, Holly Holm picked Ronda Rousey apart with strikes and finished her with a head kick knockout to end Rousey's title reign and aura of invincibility of one fell swoop. Holm's footwork was key as she kept Rousey at distance and punished her with precision striking. The result sets up a massive rematch that is likely to take place at UFC 200 in July."
While Holly Holm rose to victory, she was definitely the underdog in the ring. Now, she probably will expect the fame that comes with being an undefeated UFC champion.
But most people are saying that the best of Ronda is yet to come. According to Time, now is really the chance for Ronda Rousey to shine. The article stated, "Now she has the chance to be a whole new kind of hero. No longer an unstoppable, alien force in a class of her own, Rousey can become something far more important: a truly human champion with whom we all can identify... Her most important victory is still to come."
With her relationship going steady with Travis Browne, it looks like she can now use him to feel stable.
Travis Browne spoke to New York Post about his relationship with one of the most successful MMA fighters and he went straight to the point. He said, "Over the summer, through all the s-t that I had to shuffle through, that I had to sift through, Ronda and I started talking throughout the summer and I'll say now that we are together. She's my woman and I'm her man. There's no boyfriend, girlfriend stuff. There's no dating. We're together."
Looks like Travis Browne is getting possessive of her. Let's hope that he can nurse Ronda back to life!
