'Zelda: Hyrule Warrior Legends' Release Date Announced, Linkle Isn't Actually Female LInk?

"Zelda: Hyrule Warriors Legends" Linkle may not be what people think she is.

The internet went in a frenzy when Linkle from "Zelda: Hyrule Warriors Legends" was revealed. Not only was she a female version of one of the most iconic video game characters in history, but she was also just as good a fighter.

Apart from her label as the "female version" of "The Legend Of Zelda's" Link, many were charmed by the dual-crossbow wielding character.

Her character design is very similar to Link's, as seen on IGN, where she is dressed in green and brown and has blonde hair. She has two braids that frame either side of her face and bright blue eyes. Her costume consists of a green hooded capelet, a tan skirt, brown leather gloves, and brown thigh high boots. She also has two crossbows that are holstered on the side of each boot.

She reportedly has a spin kick attack similar to Link's sword spin and has the ability to wield her crossbow weapons at the same time.

While Linkle already has a fan following, there are others that seem to thing otherise. There are recent reports, particularly a status posted on twitter by Feminist Frequency, that stated Linkle isn't actually Link but a completely separate character based on Link. This tweet has started an online debate with other fans who are grateful that the developers came up with Linkle.

Whether Linkle is actually Link himself in female form or a character based on the general design of Link, fans everywhere are glad that there is a new character to play in the game.

"Zelda: Hyrule Warrior Legends" and Linkle will be coming to 3DS in North America at the end of March 2016.
