'Twin Star Exorcists' Anime Adaptation Confirmed

According to Anime News Network, currently running manga series "Twin Star Exorcist" has been greenlit for an anime adaptation. The news comes from Shueisha's "Jump Sq." magazine, which had teased a special announcement in their December issue about the series. No other information about the network, release date, or studio has been revealed.

So far, fans in an ANN forum are responding to the "Twin Star Exorcist" anime news with excitement and making predictions about the animation studio that will take on the project.

"I'm excited for this! Immediately the studio I want to do this is Studio Lerche. They blew me away this year for many reasons and I'd absolutely love if they did it. Studio Bones is also a massive possibility," said DontmesswithKarma.

ANN reports that the "Twin Star Exorcists" manga series launched in Shuiesha's "Jump Square"
magazine in November 2013. Since then, Shueiesha has compiled six volumes of the series. The sixth volume was released earlier this year in September in Japan.

Viz Media, who is releasing the original manga series by Yoshiaki Sukeno outside of Japan, describes the story of "Twin Star Exorcists" as follows:

"Rokuro dreams of becoming anything but an exorcist! Then mysterious Benio turns up. The pair are dubbed the 'Twin Star Exorcists' and learn they are fated to marry...Can Rokuro escape both fates? When Rokuro's best friend Ryogo goes missing, Rokuro is forced to ask Benio for help to enter Magano, the realm of the evil Kegare, to rescue him!"

Viz Media will release the third volume of the "Twin Star Exorcists" manga series in January.
