Is Draymond Green The Worst Kept Secret To Golden State Warrior's Flawless Start?

As the Golden State Warriors continue their magical run to start the 2015-2016 NBA season, all eyes are on Steph Curry as he continues to dazzle with his playmaking and shooting.

Fans can talk about the reigning MVP all day but what might be unknown to many is there's man keeping all of this glued. Perhaps, one of the worst kept secrets in the NBA is that Curry is not solely responsible for their success, but forward Draymond Green is simply making all this possible without tearing up the stat sheet.

Last season, there were even talks that he is only a product of a system and he is not worth max money. The Detroit Pistons were one of those teams that are willing to do just that but what made the Warriors prevent him from thinking on going somewhere else? Because they know how much he is worth.

Grant Hughes explained his irreplaceable value to the team as he serves as the middle-man that is key for their execution.

"For the Warriors, it had to be this way. As teams gradually realized Curry had to be attacked with two defenders in high pick-and-rolls, Green, often the screener, became the easy outlet valve. And while it took him some time to get comfortable with the shoot-pass-drive decision tree that presented itself in the resulting 4-on-3 situations (if we can even say a year or so is "some time"), he has now mastered the practice," he said.

Draymond Green knows this very well and knows his teammates' role very well.

"I play with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Harrison Barnes knocking down shots," Green told Detroit Free Press' Vince Ellis. "Andre [Iguodala], [Andrew] Bogut in the middle. Festus [Ezeli] getting all them dunks. They make shots."
