Holiday travel has been one of the most grueling things to do. Aside from packed airports Thanksgiving 2015 flight deals are also a challenge. Several reports though reveal that there are ways to get the best deals minus the hassle of holiday travel.
As reported by The New York Times, one good way of making sure a traveler would get the best yet cheapest flight was to be on the lookout for deals especially on social media.
According to the report, travelers should follow the Facebook and Twitter accounts of airlines and booking sites to get the update on flight sales in real time. They also advise the public to subscribe to e-mail alerts regarding airline fare promos.
It was also mentioned that travelers should be on the lookout up to the last minute as airlines often release the best deals at these times.
Tech Times, meanwhile, suggested that resorting to flight deals apps would be another good thing to aid travelers in getting the best Thanksgiving 2015 flight deals. Among three of the best apps to use for holiday travel would be Skyscanner, Gate Guru and Google Fights. With Skyscanner, would-be holiday travelers can compare airline fares of different airlines in just a click. Google Flights, on the other hand, summarizes all the best places to go to for the holiday while at the same time showing the searcher the cheapest prices. As for Gate Guru, it can help inform the travel of flight status and other details concerning a journey.
But if technology doesn't seem to appeal, Yahoo! Travel, suggested some old school moves to snag the best Thanksgiving 2015 flight deals. This included using your gathered flight rewards points to buy a new ticket this holiday. They also suggest doing the usual consultation with a travel agent to be in the know of the best deals. Finally, they advise travelers to "be flexible" with their schedule. As peak flights often happen days ahead of Thanksgiving, it would do travelers well if they book their flights on the holiday itself.
