NBA Trade Rumors: Miami Heat's Gerald Green, OKC Thunder's Dion Waiters On The Move?

The NBA season is now on full swing and with that said, it means the NBA trade rumor mill is back in business. Who are the early candidates to be traded?

First up, the Miami Heat are rumored to be looking for a potential trade partner for forward Gerald Green. Weeks removed from dealing Mario Chalmers to the Memphis Grizzlies, the Heat are looking to make another move and they just might get what they want which is to go below the salary tax line.

Aside from that, the impressive play from Justise Winslow is making Green expendable as head coach Eric Spoelstra said that the rotation including him and Tyler Johnson are "winning chemistry for the team" per Movie News Guide.

Meanwhile, another volume scorer is rumored to be traded and that is OKC Thunder's sixth man, Dion Waiters. The 4th overall pick of the 2014 draft failed to live up to expectations once again as he just can't seem to find the groove alongside superstars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook.

With that said, he expressed his desire to be moved either this season or walk away to sign with his hometown team, the Philadelphia 76ers.

"He wants to come home," a source told Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer. "Plus, he knows that he could be the missing shooting guard they need. And he could possibility get a [very lucrative] contract with the Sixers."

The source added, "Talked about getting a place downtown not too far from the arena so playing at home would be less of a distraction."

He is currently averaging 11.3 ppg and 3.6 rpg. With those numbers, it might be hard to persuade the Sixers to give him the contract he desires. Will he finally blossom in a 76er jersey? Stay tuned.
