‘The Vampire Diaries’ To Have Nina Dobrev Back? Cast Wants Ian Somerhalder Out

There's a new drama brewing on the set of "The Vampire Diairies" since Nina Dobrev left the show. According to the latest news and rumor, the cast apparently wanted Ian Somehalder out and the Elena Gilbert actress back.

In an item on Celeb Dirty Laundry, it was mentioned that the former Elena Gilbert actress' co-stars were reportedly fed up with Somerhalder attitude since her exit. It was also cited that the cast greatly missed the actress.

In an earlier report, the gossip site also reported that the Damon Salvatore actor felt "relief" upon the Elena Gilbert actress' exit from the TV series. As he told Variety in a recent report, the actor revealed he thought the TV series would die along with Elena Gilbert's demise of sorts. But since the start of the new season, the actor seemingly realized that the plot has grown since they began the series six years ago.

"What we've just started shooting is such a departure (from what is expected of the show)," he told the source above. "I just started shooting episode 10, which is a concept episode. The episode was really about Damon, but that's not why I think it was the best at all. The way the story was put together ... every artisan from set to producers to wardrobe to everyone was just so on-point."

While Ian Somerhalder seemed to have moved on from Nina Dobrev exit from "The Vampire Diaries," latest news also revealed that creator Julie Plec may also be purportedly ready to move forward and end the series soon. As told by Hypable, the recent flash-forward scenes and glimpse of the future of the new season may be a clue to the fact that the fans may not be seeing the future of the characters as it might be ending soon.

Julie Plec's latest news though insisted that "The Vampire Diaries" won't be ending anytime soon even prior to Nina Dobrev's exit.

"No," Julie Plec told Entertainment Weekly last year. "It's not on our radar yet. You could ask 10 different people that question and you'd get 10 different answers, in terms of how long the life of the show is. Warner Bros. would say, '17 seasons!' And I think I would say, 'Seven!' [Laughs] Presumably we'll land somewhere closer to my wishes or theirs, depending on the circumstances."
