Christina Aguilera reportedly feared getting booted from "The Voice" after news that Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton's romance has been getting a lot of good feedback latetly.
In an item on Celeb Dirty Laundry, it was mentioned that the "Dirrty" singer has purportedly been making a move to ensure her spot for the "The Voice" season 10.
"Christina is worried that viewers will want Gwen instead of her," an insider told Naughty Gossip as cited by the source above. "She has spoken with producers and made it clear that she will be returning and that Gwen is just keeping her seat warm."
Despite the new rumor, NBC has previously announced the the "Dirrty" singer's comeback for the next season. It was even reported earlier that filming for the new season has already began. The No Doubt singer though has been quite vocal about keeping her place on "The Voice."
But according to Gossip Cop, the "Dirrty" singer had nothing to fear as she had been guaranteed to be in season 10 even before the No Doubt singer filled in for her during her maternity leave. Apart from this, the report dispelled the feud rumors between the pair after Aguilera herself pointed out that she and Stefani have been friends for years.
The new rumor surfaced just days after Christina Aguilera bared the news that she has given her support and blessings to both Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton and has told people to back off from the new romance.
"I've known her for many, many years, and because of the show, I've known Blake for ten seasons in now-how many years is that?" she told E! Online. "So I know they're both amazing people."
"Everyone deserves to be happy, and I'm glad we're keeping it in the family!" Christina Aguilera also pointed out about the Gwen Stefani Blake Shelton romance news before adding "That sounded weird... Not incestual type!"
