Leighton Meester Teases Music Comeback After Baby's Birth, Shares Squad Photo As Well!

Leighton Meester has a surprise in store for her fans since being on the lie low to focus on her family and new baby. In a new post on Instagram following her low-key hangout with Hollywood friends, the former "Gossip Girl" actress teased about her next career move.

In the post, the actress-turned-musician revealed that she's dropping some new tunes this Christmas.

"Getting into the x-mas spirit with @iamdanawilliams and @tarzantribe," she wrote on Instagram. "Shot by @davidabwilliams. Coming soon!"

Fans of Mrs. Adam Brody immediately got excited over the news especially since it's been a year since the former "Gossip Girl" actress released her debut album, "Heartstrings."

It was not clear yet if Mrs. Adam Brody would be doing a Christmas cover with Dana Williams or a completely new song. But it can be remembered that back in March 2014, they covered Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams."

Leighton Meester has been keeping private about her life since marrying Adam Brody and much more upon welcoming their first baby. But recently, she seemed to be easing back to the spotlight and letting the world see a bit of her life.

As reported by E! Online, the former "Gossip Girl" actress had a low-key night with her close friends last Thursday. She even reposted an Instagram photo for the occasion to show off not only her post-baby look but her squad as well.

"Rg girls' night-thanks for the group shot @coopwilson," she captioned on a picture together with friends Gina Gammell, Aly Michalka, Amanda Michalka, Davida Williams and Madeline Zima.

Refinery 29 has even dubbed the hangout as "new squad goals" as the stars looked comfortable hanging out in casual clothes with their dogs.

Leighton Meester has been quite low-key these days since having a baby but in an interview with In Style UK last year, she did admit that this was the kind of life she wanted.

"My values have shifted greatly in terms of what I find important," she said then for the November 2014 issue of the magazine. "It's my family, my friends and having a personal life. Those are the things that need nurturing."
