"Hey Arnold!" TV Movie brings back nostalgia to 90's kids.
The way cartoons are made nowadays have changed so much since the 90s. It is a natural progression that some series may end and newer series take over for the younger generation. While new cartoons are welcomed with open arms, its hard to avoid missing the older cartoons that remind one of their childhood.
Nickelodeon's The Splat was great news to 90s kids who were avid viewers of the Nickelodeon channel, but the "Hey Arnold!" TV Movie is the latest bit of good news to those who were fans of the series.
“Kids who grew up on these characters are now of the age that they are having kids and families themselves,” said president for content development and production for the Nickelodeon group, Russell Hicks, on Variety. “Our library has come to fruition and it’s time for it to start coming back to life.”
Variety also noted that the "Hey Arnold!" TV movie will pick up where the series left off in an effort to tie up loose ends on Arnold's missing parents.
"Hey Arnold!" is an American animated television series that aired five seaosns on Nickelodeon. The show centers on a fourth grader named Arnold, who lives with his grandparents in an inner-citty boarding house, and focuses on city life, friendship and more.
The animated series recieved a lot of positive reviews for the character development and various themes, but with an 8 year run and 100 episodes the series came to a close on June 2004.However, the re-runs will be aired on The Splat, a block on TeenNick dedicated to retro cartoons.
No release date for the "Hey Arnold!" TV movie has been announced yet.
