‘Thundercats’ Movie To Happen In 2016? John McAvoy Intends To Join The Film

Following the emergence of classic cartoon series turned into a feature film, fans are screaming to have a "Thundercats" movie to happen in 2016.

People have been raving about the possibility of the film to happen after Hollywood actors expressed their intentions to play a possible role in the movie if ever a studio turns the fantasy into a reality.

According to an interview by Total Film with "X-Men: Apocalypse" actor James McAvoy, he revealed how he would be all-in to play a particular role in a "Thundercats" movie in 2016 if it happens.

He stated how fascinated he is with the character "Lion-O" and how he grew up watching the cartoon series.

"I would love to see a Thundercats movie but it's never going to happen," McAvoy revealed in an interview. "Lion-O is something great for any actor out there"

He also pointed out how he saw a number of fan-made trailers of the series, which attached the faces of Hugh Jackman, Vin Diesel and Brad Pitt, making him more excited about a potential announcement of the "Thundercats" movie in 2016.

"There is a great trailer for Thundercats where they took Brad Pitt and made him Lion-O, Hugh Jackman as Tygra and Vin Diesel as Panthro," the 35-year-old actor said.

On the other hand, "Jupiter Ascending" actor Eddie Redmayne also expressed his thoughts about a potential "Thundercats" movie in 2016, after talking to Yahoo News, wherein he expressed his intentions of playing Snarf in the possible film.

"Please, I'm desperate to do Bananaman," Redmayne said in a Yahoo News interview. "Bananaman is this great guy who eats a banana, and he becomes Bananaman. He's the one that I've always wanted to play, to the extent that Andrew Garfield - an old pal - was asked in an interview, 'If you could play any superhero other than Spider-Man, who would you play?' And he was thinking about it, and the interviewer was like, 'Bananaman?' And Andrew was like, 'No, Eddie's playing that.'"

"I'd like to play Snarf," he said.
