‘Mr. Robot’ Season 2 Spoilers: Elliot To Avenge Shayla’s Death? Creator Spills More Details!

With the success of its first season, followers of "Mr. Robot" have been anticipating about the release of season 2.

Several spoilers have already been out, but this time, hints already came from its creator Sam Esmail.

According to the Deadline, the American drama-thriller television series' second run may finally see Elliot taking steps on how to give justice to the death of his girlfriend Shayla.

Speaking to reporters at the USA Network's "Mr. Robot" cross guild event Wednesday night in Los Angeles, Esmail revealed that their writers may consider the said idea after he was asked if the main character will already face drug lord Fernando Vera, "even if it was over a cup of coffee."

"We have the writers in the room tonight; we'll consider that pitch," he dished about the highly-anticipated "Mr. Robot" season 2.

Another development in the story that its fans must await would be on "how Mr. Robot, a figment of Elliot's imagination, can dialogue with other people in his son's life."

"We'll specifically address that scene in the second season," he noted.

In the meantime, when asked why he picked Rami Malek to take on the lead role, Esmail pointed out that he saw something in him that would surely make the character more appealing and convincing.

"I'm listening to all these great actors (during the audition), and what they had wasn't working at all," he said Malek, who will continue as lead actor in "Mr. Robot" season 2. "Then Rami comes in and added this warmth. It changed everything. He added a vulnerability to Elliot."

On the other hand, LA Times shared Malek's reaction when he saw his face on a London double-decker bus.

"If you'd told me that would be the case a year ago, I would have laughed," he quipped.

He then emphasized his point by saying, ""This show reaches people on a global scale, people who feel disenfranchised and trapped in a system with the deck stacked against them."
