‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Gearing Up For Production, As Jamie Dornan Gets Ready To Reprise Role

As "Fifty Shades Darker" gears up for production in the next few months, its star Jamie Dornan is excited to once again step into Christian Grey's shoes.

The 33-year-old Irish actor, who was named as one of the Men of the Year of In People's Sexiest Man Alive issue, will reprise his role as the debonair business magnate in the "Fifty Shades of Grey" sequel, reported People.

"I'm looking forward to embodying Christian again - and getting a chance to show more of him," he told People in a recent interview.

However, what "Once Upon A Time" actor isn't looking forward to in filming is the heavy rains in Vancouver, Canada where the "Fifty Shades" movies are shot.

In "Fifty Shades Darker," whose production is expected to start by early 2016, Christian reunites with Anastasia Steel who will be portrayed anew by Dakota Johnson.

The highly-anticipated sequel is based on the second book in the trilogy written by English author E.L. James.

Meanwhile, Dornan, who is getting ready to become a dad for the second time, is trying his best to dodge "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans who can't resist to have their picture taken with the actor.

"The only thing they all ever ask is 'can I get a selfie?" he said.

The "Marie Antoinette" star is currently shooting the BBC psychological thriller "The Fall."

Asked on what was the best part of working on the series, he answered, "Getting to film in Belfast (where I grew up) and being surrounded by fellow Irish people."

As production for "Fifty Shades Darker" is expected to ramp up in the coming months, its prequel, "Fifty Shades Freed," will immediately start production, according to Melty.

James Foley, who previously directed the Netflix series "House of Cards" and cult classic "Fear," has been tapped to helm the final film in the series.

Fans will be pleased with the choice of Foley, as he has proven his mettle in directing "steamy" scenes.

If production goes on schedule, "Fifty Shades Darker" will premiere on Feb. 10, 2017, while "Fifty Shades Freed" will be released on Feb. 9, 2018.
