'Digimon World: Next Order' Reveals Executor Black Knight Based On Omegamon [VIDEO]

After the exciting premiere of "Digimon Adventure Tri," another major update has come for the upcoming video game "Digimon World: Next Order."

On Thursday, Tamer Union revealed a clearer image of the Black Knight Digimon, now being called the Executor. Based on the image, it appears the design may be based on Omegamon.

"Now that it can be seen more clearly, his design appears to be based directly on Omegamon, but starved and with both Metal Garurumon's and War Greymon's heads bound," said contributor Touya. "Executor is designed by the Digimon series' main illustrator Watanabe Kenji."

While nothing more definitive is known about this mysterious Digimon, the cross-over between "Next Order" and "Adventure Tri" is leading some to believe it will eventually make an appearance in the film series.

On Friday, Tamer Union reviewed the special live stream which aired just prior to the "Adventure Tri" premiere. The live stream confirmed a crossover campaign between the anime series and "Digimon World: Next Order." What this includes is a digital download of the new DigiDestined companion Meikumon when fans purchase the game next year.

Furthermore, the "Black Knight" looks similar in power and design as the Royal Knights which Alphamon belongs to, so additional appearances of this group may occur in future films.

According to Anime News Network, the second film of the "Digimon Adventure Tri" series, titled "Determination" will be released on March 12.

In addition, "Digimon Adventure Tri" also sold 36,000 tickets in 10 Japanese theaters, earning it 59 million yen in only two days of showing. Reportedly, the cast will appear at a stage greeting at the Sapporo Cinema Frontier this coming Saturday, Nov. 28.
