Synopsis/Recap:
The next battle of Leohart's tournament begins. The opponents this time are Maria and Takigawa. Takigawa has the immediate advantage, and knocks Maria down. Maria however is able to get back up and unlocks a new power. Takigawa thinks she's vulnerable during the transformation, but Maria manages to punch Takigawa in the face and knock him down.
The new power slows Maria down, and Takigawa knocks her down with another attack. The crowd tries to convince him to kill Maria, but he refuses and ends the battle as the winner. As Maria is carried away by her sister, Kurumi tries to comfort Yuki, who worries that they could die without saying how they truly feel about each other.
Yuki hugs Kurumi. Kurumi sets off to face Admirath in the next round of the tournament. Admirath makes a threat against Basara that would leave Kurumi responsible, and then the battle begins. All the spectators can tell that the fight is not real between Admirath and Kurumi. Both are holding back and not using their obvious skill sets.
Kurumi continues to let herself be attacked, afraid that something will happen to Basara. She loses the battle, and when Zest saves her from a finishing blow, she also loses her match by default. Meanwhile, Belphegor threatens to do things to Mio, which causes Basara to stab at him.
The next battle is Yuki versus Volga. Volga declares that he will defeat Yuki with one blow. She manages to doge his attack and also cuts him to shreds in their one encounter. She quickly wins the fifth match.
Balflear and Basara have both disappeared now, causing Takigawa and Leohart to wonder if they'll suffer manipulation from the council. Leohart enters the final match in his place. The arena is transformed into Xamdu. As a result, Ramsus is the only one who can step in to fight Leohart.
