Huawei Mate 8 Release Date Set For 2016, The 6-inch Device Packs A Lot Of Punch And Long Battery Life

Huawei Mate 8 release date starting to build up some expectations.

It is an understatement to say that the smartphone market is saturated with so many options. While there are premium phones that come from premium brands and expnsive prices, a number of other companies have been taking the other route to create phones that won't break the bank or rack up the debt.

The Huawei Mate 8 is the newest "premium" phablet-class handset that is a massive 6-inches in size and is reported to have a long lasting battery life.

The device is fitted with a Kirin 950 octa-core processor and a Mali T880MP4 graphics co-processor, a fingerprint reader, a 16-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel front camera with an aluminum casing.

While the specs are already impressive on its own, Phone Arena reported that Huawei Mate 8 scores beyond expectations at the AnTuTu benchmarks. The numbers alone speak for itself as the smarthphone reached a very impressive score of 95, 250. Hopefully the numbers don't lie and that the power is put to good use in the smartphone to make it snappy and responsive.

The smartphone comes in different prices depending on how much memory and RAM you decide to go with. The starting variant of 3GB RAM with 32GB of storage costs $469. The 4GB of RAM with 64GB variant will cost $579 and the massive 4GB of RAM with 128GB variant will cost $649, according to Mashable.

It comes in Champagne Gold, Moonlight Silver, Space Gray and Mocha Brown.

The Huawei Mate 8 release date is in early 2016 in China, it is expected to reach North American shores at later on.
