Synopsis/Recap:

This week's episode of "Seraph of the End" begins with Yuichiro's attack to save Guren from Crowley. Unfortunately, the attack doesn't go so well, with Crowley, Chess and Horn being much too powerful. Guren yells at them to follow the mission's orders and retreat.

The remaining members of Guren's squad launch an illusion spell in an attempt to save him while Shinya drags Shinoa and her squad away. Guren continues to tell his squad to escape and leave him behind. They finally follow the orders.

Elsewhere, Kureto prepares to defend the human race from the noble vampire attack. He fights with his brother, and it is revealed that Kureto is forming a coup to take over the army. Kureto plans to stop the vampires in Nagoya.

Shinoa reminds Yu that they made a promise to retreat no matter what. Shinya reminds Yuichiro that they're not going back alive, they're going back with victory. As a result, they won't be abandoning Guren.

Everyone takes the loss of Guren very hard, especially Yu. Yuichiro recalls the time Guren comforted him when he had too many nightmares of his family being murdered by the vampires. They discuss their pain of living. Guren tells him to focus on killing vampires until he finds a good reason to live.

Yuichiro decides that he can't live unless he goes back for Guren. He takes another power pill, and suddenly he's bleeding from his mouth and eyes. He passes out.

Yuichiro appears to be dead. Meanwhile, Mika has betrayed his vampire squad, intending to go inside city hall alone and save Yu.

Kureto begins his plans to launch his test subject and make moves in Nagoya. A helicopter is loaded with a steel box and sets off.
