'Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi' Anime Gets Music By Yuki Kajiura And 2nd Trailer [VIDEO]

"Sword Art Online" and "Puella Magi Madoka Magica" are two of the most popular anime series of all time, both popular for various and different reasons.

But when you consider that Yuki Kajiura made the soundtrack for both series, it certainly seems like music played a part in the appeal.

This week, a brand new trailer for the upcoming anime series "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" confirmed that the series' music would be composed by Yuki Kajiura. The music, as well as the animation and character voices, are previewed in the new trailer which is available to view below. The "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" anime release date is currently set for Jan. 7.

So far, fans in ANN forum are expressing interest in the new "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" anime series.

"I'm really excited for this. A-1 Pictures has been doing a lot of better stuff lately. I'm hoping this is a good song," said DontmesswithKarma.

Crunchyroll reports that "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" anime series will be directed by Tomohiko Ito with character designs by Keigo Sasaki. Taku Kishimoto will write the screenplay. A-1 Pictures will handle the animation production. No official Japanese voice cast has been announced for the series yet.

"Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" ("The Town Where Only I Am Missing") was originally a manga series by Kei Sanbe. Kadokawa is publishing the series and released the sixth volume in July. For those not familiar with the series, ANN describes the story as follows:

"Satoru Fujinuma is a struggling manga artist who has the ability to turn back time and prevent deaths. When his mother is killed he turns back time to solve the mystery, but ends up back in elementary school, just before the disappearance of his classmate Kayo."
