Game Of Thrones Creators Confirm Jon Snow Will Return for Season 6; Winds Of Winter Writer George R. R. Martin Surprised: 'After All, Jon Snow Knows Nothing'

Game of Thrones Season 6 Spoilers: HBO has no fears about letting fan favorites die on their series, but when the men of the Night's Watch all took turns cutting at Jon Snow, fans thought they went too far. Now, the creators of Game Of Thrones may agree.

"Oh, you think he's dead, do you? . . . My readers should know better than to take anything as gospel," George R. R. Martin said about Snow's death in the book "A Dance With Dragons."

George R.R. Martin says he is determined to finish and release the book as soon as possible. "After all, Jon Snow knows nothing".

Snow was betrayed by his fellow brothers of the Night's Watch after he returned to Castle Black after the battle at Hardhome.

The next Song of Ice and Fire book isn't out yet, so HBO can improvise a little on the book series. In June, Snow's death triggered a Twitter avalanche of conjecture that he wasn't truly dead. "Game of Thrones" killed Ned Stark in the very first season. They killed the remaining Stark royalty at Red Wedding. King Joffrey was killed at his own wedding ceremony.

But how could they bring Jon Snow back for season 6 of Game of Thrones?

There is a new Lord Commander of the Night's Watch, most likely Alliser Thorne who led the mutiny against Snow.

George R.R. Martin told the audience at the Q&A at the Sasquan science fiction convention in Spokane that "Game of Thrones" and "A Song of Ice and Fire," treat their characters different, according to Geekwire.

"Anything is possible," Martin teased.

George R.R. Martin recently told Entertainment Weekly he wants "Winds of Winter" on shelves before "Game of Thrones" season 6.

"I wish it was out now. Maybe I'm being overly optimistic about how quickly I can finish," Martin told EW. "But I canceled two convention appearances, I'm turning down a lot more interviews-anything I can do to clear my decks and get this done."

Game of Thrones season 6 starts in April.
