"Mario Kart 8: Clash Of Karts" is a live tournament that will be aired on television.

Watching games take place on television is all part of the fun especially if you're a fan of the sport, but even video game championships are being broadcasted to those who are interested in gaming. Disney XD has taken this new concept of e-sports game streaming to their channel as they broadcast "Mario Kart 8" games on television.

According to IGN, Nintendo's Wii U exclusive kart racing game is getting a show titled "Mario Kart 8: Clash Of Karts" on the Disney XD Channel. The show will be reportedly featuring America's best young gamers compete alongside various YouTube personalities in a one-hour "Mario Kart 8" competition.

This e-sports program is similar to the Nintendo World Championships in October.

“Our first experiment earlier in the year was a formal event that was like a decathlon of eSports,” said Disney XD general manager Marc Buhaj in an interview with Fortune. “We wanted to focus on a single game with this special and have a more intimate event.”

“eSports is something that’s blossoming, but it’s still early days. How it’ll be covered for the kids’ audience is still something that remains to be seen.”

"Mario Kart 8: Clash Of Karts" will be airing on Disney XD on Dec.5, 2015, Saturday at 8pm PT/ET.

"Mario Kart 8" is a racing game developed by Nintendo with Namco Bandai Games for the Wii U. The game is one of the best selling titles for the Wii U and sold 5.87 million copies based on the numbers in September 2015.

It is already the eight installment in the "Mario Kart" series where a new anti-gravity features allows players to drive on almost every surface.
