The Houston Rockets have yet to find the right formula to go back to teir winning ways. They continue to struggle and are still below .500.
James Harden is back to his old-self, Howard is playing part-time, and Ty Lawson just can't seem to fit in to the rotation. It is clear that the firing their former coach Kevin McHale is not the solution to the problem as J.B. Bickerstaff have struggled mightily as well.
With that said, GM Daryl Morey was asked if shaking up the roster is necessary to get them on the right way but he believes that is not necessary. For him, all it takes is to work harder to get back on the winning track.
"We will change until it's working," Morey said via Bleacher Report. "We win at the Rockets. Mr. [Leslie] Alexander does not accept losing. I don't accept losing. The players, no one accepts losing. We've been the fifth-most winning franchise since Mr. Alexander's owned the team. We're going to do whatever it takes to win."
However, he is not taking away the possibility of them making a move in the near future if that's what it takes to improve the team.
"In general, yeah, we need to keep plugging away until we get to a level of winning we feel we should be at. But that doesn't just mean trades."
But in the end, Morey expressed his full support to this team and he believes they will eventually get out of this slump.
"We believe in this group," Morey said. "The priority really isn't trade. The priority is getting this group back to its winning ways. Part of us having less flexibility, which I think is more or less true relative to what we had in the past, is because we do believe in the guys we have right now."
