The Houston Rockets are now in search for answers on how they can go back to their winning ways. Obviously, firing coach McHale was not the answer they were searching for and they need to move soon as owner Leslie Alexander is not happy with how things are going on right now.
"I hate to lose," Alexander told ESPN.com's Calvin Watkins. "I enjoy watching my team play, and I can't watch my team play now. I want to win real fast."
But GM Daryl Morey said he is not inclined in making any moves right now as he believes the team has the capability to play at the level they did last season. But when the boss says so, he might just be forced to do so.
With that said, who could possibly be moved? Ty Lawson. According to J.B. Bickerstaff, he wants to simplify their rotation and he said will let Patrick Beverley get extended minutes which could be a bad sign for Lawson. Per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle:
"We want to simplify our rotation. We want to make sure we have guys in comfortable positions," Bickerstaff said. "With Pat coming back, that gave us another body in the mix. Obviously, we're going to play Pat. We want to see him out on the floor, giving us what he brings."
"We're trying to find out (players) that complement one another and we're trying to find guys that help us win first and foremost."
Two trade rumors are surfacing that would likely be Lawson's next destination. In a report by Bleacher Report, he could be included in a three way deal with the Lakers and the Pelicans. Here's how it will go.
Houston Rockets Get: PF Ryan Anderson, PG Jrue Holiday
Los Angeles Lakers Get: C Omer Asik, 2018 lottery-protected first-round pick (via Houston)
New Orleans Pelicans Get: PF Brandon Bass, C Clint Capela, PG Ty Lawson, SG K.J. McDaniels, SG Nick Young
Meanwhile, the Nets are rumored to be testing the waters for Bojan Bogdanovic per NBC Sports. Should the Rockets be their trade partner, this is the most plausible both teams can work out. Houston will send Lawson, Dekker and Jones for Bagdonovic, Jack, and T-Rob.
