Savor Every Moment Of Kobe Bryant’s Games; Coach Byron Scott To Tolerate Superstar’s Shot Selection Till The End

The LA Lakers visited the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday night and retiring superstar Kobe Bryant was given a very warm reception by his hometown. However, they lost to the miserable Sixers team as well as giving them their first win this season.

What went wrong? Kobe admits that he took a lot of bad shots as he finished the game shooting 7-of-26 from the field but the worst part is he only managed to make 2-of-16 during crunch time.

"Got to get some better shots than that...but other than that, just got to keep playing. I do trust that he'll get to the point where he'll make them on a much more consistent basis, but it has just not happened yet," he told ESPN's Baxter Holmes:.

Even head coach Byron Scott noticed Kobe's shot selection and said that the shooting guard took too many 3-pointers.

"He had about five or six that were real good looks, a couple that were real wide open, where he pump-faked, got the guy open," Scott said. "We moved the ball, got it to him, but there were some that weren't good shots, and I think he would agree with that."

The Lakers currently stand at 2-15 this season, which means Kobe will have 65 more games to give fans one last ride and hopefully, his terrific scoring capabilities return before the season is over.

Nevertheless, head coach Byron Scott said that whatever happens, he will let Kobe take the lead and take whatever shots he wants per Mike Bresnahan of Los Angeles Times.
