‘Narcos’ Season 2’s Expected August 2016 Release Date To Feature Changes, More Episodes?

The highly-anticipated "Narcos" season 2's August 2016 release date is expected to be packed with some changes to get more audience hooked into it.

As new characters are set to leave or join the Netflix series, will it have more episodes, too?

According to the Deadline, as shared by Ecumenical News, Steve Murphy (portrayed by Boyd Holbrook) is leaving the show after one season.

However, fans need not worry that the original series' storyline will no longer be as exciting as the first one since a new face is definitely giving it a new twist.

Eric Lange from "The Bridge" will be playing Special Agent Stechner in "Narcos" season 2.

As Stechner, he will be "breathing life" to a character that will be known as "the larger than life CIA agent who headed the agency's Medellin office."

Along with Pedro Pascal's DEA Agent Javier Pena, Stechner will also be famous for "investigating and bringing the notorious drug lord to justice."

In the meantime, Ecumenical News noted that "The creative team behind 'Narcos' crammed in a lot of information in season one's 10 episodes, generating concerns among fans that the series was moving too fast."

With that, must fans expect for season 2 to be longer?

"Most feared that with the show's pace, the story 'Narcos' is trying to tell will be all wrapped up by season 2," the report stated.

It can be recalled that it was The Hollywood Reporter that broke the news about the renewal of the crime drama TV series in September.

The show, which stars Wagner Moura as Escobar, talks about the Medelin Cartel, "once the world's most ambitious and violent trafficking organization."

In an interview with executive producer Eric Newman back in July at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour that "Narcos" was originally envisioned as a movie.

"When you get into the complexities of the drug world, of the characters, ... you sort of realize you need a lot of time to tell that story," he explained.

Keep posted for more "Narcos" season 2 spoilers!
