Capcom's 'Resident Evil 2' Remake Might Not Have Leon Kennedy And Claire Redfield, A Game Remaster Is Out Of The Question

Capcom's "Resident Evil 2" is actually a remake.

Fans of the "Resident Evil" franchise have been sticking around since the game first came into the scene on the Playstation many years ago. Since then, the game has become a highly successful commercial franchise that is already making it's final installment in the movie series.

While there are a lot of newer games out in the market, gamers still want to play the older games in better graphics and smoother gameplay. This is why a lot of old games get remastered for the newer game consoles.

Unfortunately, Capcom's "Resident Evil 2" isn't a remastered game but is actually a remake. According to IGN, Capcom UK's senior marketing director Stuart Turner clarified on Twitter that it was a misunderstanding that the game was going to be remasteres. Turner cleared it up saying," RE2 will be a full from the ground up remake, NOT a remaster."

The news of Capcom's "Resident Evil 2" remake was made in an announcement last August, but there were a lot of questions that were left unanswered despite the good news, according to PC Gamer.

There are no details on the release date of the "Resident Evil 2" remake as its still in the early stages of development.

"Resident Evil 2," also known as "Biohazard 2" in Japan is a 1998 survival horror video game that is the second insallment in the Capcom horror game series. It takes place two months after the first game and is set in Racoon City, an American community that has become overrun with zombies who used to be citizens that were infected by the T-virus. This virus was developed by the pharmaceutical company Umbrella as a biological weapon. The two protagonists, Leon S. Kennedy and Claire Redfield, must escape the city before it is too late.
