"Star Wars" Mark Hamill goes undercover once again.
The "Star Wars" fever is on a high as the release of the seventh and newest film installment into the franchise makes its theatrical debut in a couple of weeks. While the focus is on "The Force Awakens," "Star Wars" Mark Hamill decides to use "The Force" to spread some more love this holiday season.
"Star Wars" Mark Hamill is well known for his iconic portrayal as the Jedi Luke Skywalker, but only the hardcore fans will be familiar with his short stint as a Stormtrooper. In "A New Hope," the very first film of the franchise, Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) dress up as Stormtroopers in order to get around without being suspected when the rescued Princess Leia in the Death Star.
A video on the Star Wars Youtube Channel documented the interactions that Hamill had with unsuspecting civilians along the streets of Hollywood Boulevard. According to Time, the Stormtrooper stint was a collaboration of Omaze and "The Force Awakens" cast and crew to give people a chance to win tickets to the exclusive red carpet premiere of "The Force Awakens." The fundraising campaign is called "Force For Change."
All people have to do is donate, purchase limited edition shirts, art, character statues on Omaze in order to get chances to meet the cast of "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" and watch the film. Each donation has a corresponding price and perk. The campaign will support 15 remarkable causes as well.
The lowest amount one can donate is $10 and the most expensive amount is $50,000 which comes with a Replica Imperial Shadow Stormtooper Suit and Classic Stormtrooper Suit.
Those who want to get a chance and donate to charity on Omaze only have less than 24 hours left to do so before the campagin ends.
