Kristen Stewart News: 'Clouds of Sils Maria' Star Doesn’t Want To Win An Oscar?

Kristen Stewart may reportedly have a chance at the Oscars next year according to the latest news. The "Clouds of Sils Maria" actress though was reportedly not raring that much for the recognition.

As reported by Bustle, Stewart was awarded as Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal on "Clouds of Sils Maria" by the New York Film Critics Circle Awards.

According to the report, although the NYFCC Awards was not much of a sure reference on who would be nominated or who would win in the coming 88th Annual Academy Awards, the "Twilight" actress' win was proof that she's still being remember for her acting for a film that showed months ago.

Gold Derby also revealed that the current buzz of the "Twilight" actress win in the NYFCC Awards might help catapult her from a dark horse in the Oscar Awards race to a frontrunner among the possible nominees.

Although it was still not guaranteed that Kristen Stewart will get nominated or will win an Oscar for "Clouds of Sils Maria" despite the NYFCC Awards news, the actress has already been recognized in a big way for her performance in the film.

As told by the New York Post in February, the "Twilight" star became the first American actress to snag the prestigious César for the Olivier Assayas film. She won Best Supporting Actress. The César is often referred to as the French equivalent of the Oscar Awards.

After her César win at the time, the "Twilight" actress expressed how surprised she was over the recognition but at the same time revealed that she's apparently not that interested getting a win from the Oscars.

"Oh, man, it blew my head off, to be honest," Kristen Stewart told Vanity Fair when news of her César win came during the awards night. "I couldn't believe that I got nominated, and then obviously I really, really couldn't believe that they gave it to me, because those people rigidly dole out praise, especially to Americans. [...] It felt really good."

"I would prefer a French Oscar [to an American Oscar]," she also said in jest.
