Calum Hood shocked all the 5 Seconds of Summer fans with the rumor that he may be leaving the band. But when he was asked by a reporter whether there is any truth to the rumor, Calum Hood simply laughed at the question. Looks like this is another good drama to hide his girlfriend Jennifer Phipps behind!
According to Daily Mail, "But just hours later bass guitar player and vocalist Calum Hood addressed his cryptic upload while making his way through LAX airport, Los Angeles. When asked by a TMZ photographer if he was considering leaving the group, the 19-year-old laughed and simply answered 'oh f*** no.'"
That is one clear answer to a very straightforward question.
But it is true that Calum Hood has been under a lot of pressure recently. He was so stressed out that he ignored 5 Seconds of Summer fans a few weeks ago. The fact that the drummer never does this showed that he is stressed out with 5SOS tour 2015 as well as his girlfriend Jennifer Phipps. Maybe it's time that Calum Hood took hold the reins of his life!
According to Daily Mail, "5 Seconds of Summer's Calum Hood and Luke Hemmings did not seem to be willing to stop and take snaps on Thursday when they were spotted ignoring fans. The two band members walked straight past awaiting crowds as they exited The Troubadour."
Calum Hood may be stressed, but he still has passion that cannot be held back.
According to Bustle, ""What I Like About You" was obviously the perfect choice for the AMAs, with Clifford, Luke Hemmings, Ashton Irwin, and Calum Hood feeding their performance with such passion and unrelenting energy that they were practically bouncing off the walls."
With this kind of energy expressed in concerts, it's no wonder that Calum Hood, as well as other 5SOS members, are having a hard time keeping up with their girlfriends. But amidst all this drama, Calum Hood may have enough passion to step up as the frontman of 5SOS. With the 5SOS tour 2016 coming up and with the new album and girlfriend out of his way, Calum Hood may see 2016 as his year to shine.
According to Fuse, "One of the main takeaways from Sounds Good Feels Good, however, is that Calum's bass is more harnessed than ever, and that one of the shyest members of 5SOS is taking more control of the group's sound. On 5 Seconds of Summer's second album, Calum subtly becomes the group's secret weapon."
Looks like 5SOS bassist is poised more than ever to take on the role of a leader in 5 Seconds of Summer!
