GoPro Hero 4 Session Gets A Price Slash For The Holiday Season, You Can Get Your Premium Camera For $200

GoPro Hero 4 Session gets an awesome discount.

In the past, getting footage while riding a bike or skydiving was difficult because cameras weren't very convenient to bring around. Plus, they were quite heavy and bulky. When action cameras wre developed it became easier to shoot footage and widened the horizons for filmmakers and adrenalin junkies who want to capture the first hand experience of their wild feats.

The GoPro Hero 4 Session is the smallest action camera by GoPro to date but it isn't doing as well as they had hoped.

According to Mashable, GoPro slashed the GoPro Hero 4 Session's price from $299.99 to $199.99 and makes their newest product the same price as the entry-level Hero+. While this may seem like a good deal already, the Hero 4 Session's price was much higher when it was first launched into the market. Last September, GoPro brought the price down to $299.99 from its original $399.99 retail price.

The camera was intially marketed as the GoPro camera perfect for the non-daredevil who wanted to capture everyday moments, as reported by Fortune. Nicholas Woodman, GoPro CEO, stated that the Hero 4 Session is the perfect way "to capture rough-and-tumble family activities this holiday season."

It was shaped like a cube and was more versatile as it was easier to bring around and fit into narrower spaces. Its small size also allowed for a number of mounting options but the expensive price was what brought it's sales down.

While there were alot of hopes that the Hero 4 Session would bring in more revenue for the company, the first price cut evidently showed that the new product's sales weren't doing as well as expected.

The GoPro Hero 4 Session is available at the GoPro Online Store.
