"The Strangers 2" release date is set for next year.
When the holiday season draws nearer the more blockbuster films are shown, but why are there always a lot of horror films being released during the last few months of the year. Relativity Studios thinks its a good idea and after their success with "The Strangers," they've decided to give it another shot.
The Wrap reported that the horror-thriller sequel is one of five films that is set to be released on 2016. Apart from "The Strangers 2," "The Disappointments Room" will be released on March 25, "Before I Wake" will bereleased on April 8, "Kidnap" on May 13 and "Masterminds" on September 30.
"The Disappointments Room," starring Kate Beckinsale, is a psycho-thriller and the first release of Relativity post-bankruptcy.
"The sequel follows a family on the verge of sending their troubled teenage daughter to boarding school as they embark on one last family trip to a mobile home park that their uncle runs," according to the article.
"Their last bonding opportunity turns to horror when the teenage children discover the bodies of their aunt and uncle, fresh from a recent visit from the Strangers — Man in the Mask, Pin Up Girl and Dollface. The night becomes a race to escape for the family, as the masked killers take new pleasure in tormenting their victims in this twisted sequel that picks up where the original’s bloody footprints leave off."
"The Strangers 2" release date is set for Dec. 2, 2015, according to IGN.
"The Strangers" is an America horror film that was released in 2008. The story focused on a young couple who get terrorized by three masked assailants who break into their summer home. The break in was jsut the beginning as the three strangers destroy all means of communications to the outside world and also take away their only means of escape by destroying their car.
The movie earned a whopping $82.3 million in the worlwide box office.
