Simone Biles Confirms New Floor Routine On Her Twitter And Tumblr

If you haven't already jumped on the Simone Biles hype-train, it is likely that you will by the time the next summer Olympic games arrives in Rio de Janeiro.

For the rest of us gymnastics fans who have watched closely since she first became the World All Around Champion in 2013, Simone Biles has some big news about her floor routine in the coming months.

According to two of her social media posts, Simone Biles is planning a new floor routine for 2016. Earlier this year on Tumblr, and now on her official Twitter, Biles has announced that she will get new music and will debut the routine in the near-future.

Shortly after the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, a fan asked Biles if she'd be keeping her floor music until the Rio 2016 Olympic Games. After a mix up, Biles confirmed new floor music.

"I am getting new floor music!!! I didn't read that right," wrote Biles on Tumblr.

If you're like me and was afraid the confirmation was accidental, Biles followed this statement with a tweet today, explaining that she plans to show off the new floor routine soon, while also saying goodbye to her gold-medal winning routine from this year's World Championships.

"I'm going to miss this sassy floor routine but I'm excited to get a new one soon-ish," she said.

As for what that new routine will entail, there are several upgrades that Biles has been training since last year. Fans can check out some of those skills on YouTube. One skill of note is the double twisting double layout, which is considered one of the hardest floor skills in women's gymnastics.

Though Simone Biles has confirmed her new floor routine, there's always a chance that they won't come with upgrades, especially considering how difficult her floor routine is currently.
