'Dying Light: The Following' Enhanced Edition Is A Must Have: Bonus Content, New Animations And More

"Dying Light: The Following" is coming soon.

Video games take a long time to make before they are published and sold to gamers. While some become nitpickers because of the small glitches that make up a full game, the developers use DLC or updates to fix those kinks and make the game better that it originally was.

“We didn’t want to follow a beaten track and just re-release our game in a new wrapping with the current DLC added on," explained Techland's Lead Game Designer Maciej Bonkowski on Shacknews.

“That’s why for the last half year we’ve been working on a ton of enhancements that we’re now going to make available to everyone. We’re adding bonus post-game content, a Nightmare difficulty level, nearly 100 new animations, new NPC models, advanced AI behaviors, and more. One year after the original release, Dying Light will be even bigger.”

This enchanced version of the game is all part of "The Following" expansion pack where the Borak Horde mode, Be the Zombie mode, Ultimate Survivor Bundle, the Cuisine & Cargo challenge missions and all other recently released content are included. Those who already own the "Dying Light" game will just have to purchase the expansion pack if they want to have the same gaming experience as those who will be purchasing the enhanced version.

A trailer for the "Dying Light: The Following" enhanced edition was recently released and gave gamers a glimpse of what to expect for an upgraded version of the game the is coming next year. There are additional Legend Levels, new parkour moves, a bounties system, a greater variety in firearms, new enemy attacks and behavious and so much more.

The "Dying Light: The Following" Enhanced Edition release date is on Feb. 9, 2016 on Pc, Xbox One and Playstation 4 for $59.99.

"Dying Light" is an open world first person survival horror video game that revolves around an undercover agent named Kyle Crane. He is sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in Harran city. The game features a day and night cycle that imitates real life day cycles where the enemies and obstacles change depending on what time of day it is. The game play has elements of parkour apart from the weapons based combat in the already familiar open-world game set-up.
