'Avengers 3: Infinity War' Theory: Bucky Barnes To Lead New Set Of Avengers In The Future?

Although "Avengers 3: Infinity War" is not happening anytime soon, fans should be on the lookout for possible spoilers that will change the landscape of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

According to EP Kevin Feige, the "Avengers 3: Infinity War" film will be the end of all MCU movies but it will lead to a new era of heroes and a new set of Avengers as well.

"It definitely is an end to some version of the team that we've come to know in 'The Avengers,'" Feige said via io9. "Who knows exactly what's gonna happen yet in that film but I think this version of that team, and I think we hint to it at the end of 'Age of Ultron,' that the team will be a evolving. And one of the things that we love from the comics is that the roster is always changing."

The EP went on to say that the new story will happen 10 years after as this will pave way to possibly a new generation of Avengers.

"New people are coming onto the team," he said. "You can pick up an Avengers book 10 years later and you don't recognize the people on the cover but the ideas and the ideals that make the Avengers the Avengers still exist and I think that's part of what this culmination will be."

With that said, What Culture posted a plausible theory of Bucky Barnes becoming the new Captain America. In this theory, Cap won't die in the "Civil War" film but instead, he will suffer his demise in the hands of Thanos in the early part of the "Infinity War" movie. This will force Barnes to grace the mantle of his friend and this might lead to plenty of possibilities, including him leading a new set of "Avengers" in the future? Stay tuned.
