Earlier this week it was announced that the "Slam Dunk" English dub anime series will now be streaming on Crunchyroll. The first season of the series is available in English while the full series of 101 episodes is available in Japanese with English subtitles.
So far, fans in an ANN forum are expressing excitement for the "Slam Dunk" English dub.
"'Slam Dunk dubbed? Awesome, now I can finally watch this," exclaimed GEO9875.
For those who are not familiar with "Slam Dunk," it was originally a manga series by Takehiko Inou that first ran from 1990 to 1996 in "Shonen Jump Japan." The series has since been adapted into an anime and four different movies.
Crunchyroll describes the story of the "Slam Dunk" English dub anime as follows:
"Sakuragi Hanamichi is a junior high punk used to getting into fights and being rejected by girls but upon entering high school he meets the girl of his dreams, Haruko Akagi. He will do anything in order to win her heart including joining the school basketball team that is aiming to conquer the nation lead by Haruko's brother."
It goes on
"The problem is that Sakuragi has never played basketball before and a freshman sensation is stealing the spotlight and Haruko's affection from him."
