'Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi' Anime Licensed By Aniplex, 'ERASED' Declared English Title

Today it was announced that Aniplex of America has licensed the upcoming mystery anime series "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi." Alongside the licensing announcement, Aniplex of America has also revealed the official English title, which is now "ERASED."

Crunchyroll will stream the "ERASED" anime series on Jan. 7 at 11:30AM.

So far, fans in an ANN forum have expressed excitement about the "ERASED" anime series, specifically pointing out how interesting the plot of the series sounds.

"This sounds like an extremely interesting series. I'm quite glad to know that Crunchyroll will be streaming it. The plot summary has me interested, particularly about the protagonist's powers and how his return to elementary school will work," said CaRoss.

The plot in question is described by Anime News Network as follows:

"Satoru Fujinuma is a struggling manga artist who has the ability to turn back time and prevent deaths. When his mother is killed he turns back time to solve the mystery, but ends up back in elementary school, just before the disappearance of his classmate Kayo."

Crunchyroll reports that "Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" anime series will be directed by Tomohiko Ito with character designs by Keigo Sasaki. Taku Kishimoto will write the screenplay. A-1 Pictures will handle the animation production.

"Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi" ("The Town Where Only I Am Missing") was originally a manga series by Kei Sanbe. Kadokawa is publishing the series and released the sixth volume in July. For those not familiar with the series,
