Christmas Events 2015: Activities To Watch Out For This Yuletide Season!

Two weeks to go before Christmas and to feel the holiday spirit this early, here are some 2015 events to watch out for.

According to USA Today, there were several must-experience Yuletide activities and places all over the US that once can visit and they were not limited to malls and city centers.

"Most parks have a year-round presence, and Christmas events are really a part of their communities," National Park Foundation president and CEO Will Shafroth revealed to the source above.

As Shafroth shared, among the places and events to visit this holiday was the wreath laying event at the Andersonville National Historic Site in Georgia to remember prisoners of war on Dec. 12.

On Dec. 20, there was also the Polar Express ride at the Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio. Guests at this event get the chance to hear the story that inspired the making of a movie with the same name.

Meanwhile, a "Raft With Santa" event at the Lake Mead National Recreation Area in Arizona on Dec. 24 was another one of Christmas events 2015 to try. The trip will feature a raft ride on the Black Canyon and will be concluded with a warm cup of chocolate and other treats.

In New York, on the other hand, the Christmas tree on the Islandia Village Hall will be lit on Saturday as told by The Long Island Express.

The Rockefeller tree has been lit up on Dec. 2 but those who still want to experience New York holiday activities may opt to watch George Balachine's "The Nutcracker" which will continue at the Lincoln Center until January 3.

AS told by NYC Go, another Christmas events 2015 activity in New York was the Holiday Train Show at the Grand Central Terminal where visitors can watch miniatures trains and a replica of New York City in a Yuletide setting.
