NY Knicks Rookie Kristaps Porzingis Taking The NBA And Marketing World By Storm!

The New York Knicks rookie Kristaps Porzingis rise to popularity has been phenomenal as he just signed his 3rd endorsement deal since his NBA debut.

Perhaps, playing for one of the big market teams expedite the process but Porzingis is also looking as one of the next biggest stars in the league, which will probably make the companies investing at the Latvian kid as great decision makers.

The recent company to sign Porzingis is a sports drink brand, BodyArmor. The other two in his portfolio are Delta Air Lines and Shifman Mattress.

According to ESPN, the kid shows how humble he is as he sees the two earlier endorsements as necessity since his family flies a lot from Latvia while being a Shifman Mattress spokesperson nets him an athletic king size bed since he's been having problems sleeping for the past five years due to his huge frame.

So what is his reason for endorsing BodyArmor? "I saw other players drinking it, and so I bought it in the store and really liked it," he said of the drink, which is endorsed by the likes of James Harden and Klay Thompson and counts Kobe Bryant as an equity partner," he said.

Also, BodyArmor co-founder and chairman Mike Repole said that they have put their eyes on Porzingis since the draft plus he is an avid fan of their product.

"Kris has been on our radar since the draft, and it's a great partnership for us because he really loves the product," he said. "By the time he would have been noticed by the other sports drink companies he would have had to have won two titles and had 10 All-Star appearances."

Porzingis said that he still finds it unreal to see many people wearing his jersey.

"I've always dreamed of playing here, but to see so many people wearing jerseys with my name on them, it's really amazing to see," Porzingis said.
