The CW's "Legends of Tomorrow" TV series is just a month away from its debut and fans are surely in for a treat when they see the 12-episode special.
"The Flash" EP Andrew Kreisberg, Gregg Berlanti and "Arrow"'s Marc Guggenheim spoke with IGN just a few weeks ago and they talked about some of the things fans can expect in the upcoming cross-over.
With the recent "Arrow"/"Flash" cross-over in the books, fans were curious on what has become of that episode's main antagonist, Vandal Savage. The combined effort of Team Arrow and Flash were enough to stop the immortal from taking the lives of Kendra Saunders and Carter Hall and they were even able to pulverize the insanely strong villain.
However, in the end, Malcolm Merlyn took his ashes and it is currently unknown what transpired from then on. But, one thing is for sure, he is alive as he will be the central villain in the "Legends of Tomorrow."
"I think that's something you'll see in Legends. He has a very clear plan and trajectory," Guggenheim told IGN. "The thing about Vandal is that for him a lifetime is an eye blink. He thinks in thousand-year-old terms. He's a very much a master of the long con. Yes, he does have his own personal agenda vis a vis the Hawks. But he's got much bigger plans for the world, which you'll have to watch Legends to find out."
Also, fans will get a glimpse on the lives of the team members and as seen on the trailer, Captain Cold is interacting with a kid which is assumed to be his younger self as well as Ray Palmer seeing the love of his life, who is now deceased.
"Absolutely. In fact, once Legends is born in January, there's really no intersection on the other shows," Berlanti said. "Legends is kind of its own wacky, crazy kind of thing that allows for some fun surprises in terms of who may visit and how because they're flying through the timeline and you'll start to see more of that. But not on Arrow or Flash."
